CarryOn My Diesel Son. The TDI model features the same 2.0-liter turbo-diesel as its predecessor, making 140 hp and a solid 236 lb-ft of torque. We have yet to test the TDI, but it will likely
Ihad a 2015 Golf 1.6 TDI a couple of months back and now a 2014 Passat 2.0 TDI - the 1.6 (despite being brand new at the time) didn't sound as loud/raucous/rattly as the 2.0 does. If it is an increase in stroke, then that could explain it.

The TDI’s are definitely much more reliable than their gas variables, and generally more reliable than most gas cars I’d say. But the stuff that do fail tend to be pricy.
Posted5 June, 2005. The 2L engine has a 16 valve head and is Euro4 emmissions compliant while the 1.9 is an 8 valve head and is not compliant. Don't forget that if you are comparig the installations of the 2L to the Furby vRS there will be added weight in the A3 and the Octavia compared to the Furby.
Forthe PD130, PD150, injectors with a 1.9 TDI will be suitable for 240bhp so on engines like the ALH with outputs of PD100, PD105 and PD115, injectors will need to be uprated to 170bhp. For an upgrade, you might use the PD150 injectors or look for any other high-performance options.

I was having a discussion with a service guy in the local Skoda dealership recently and without knowing what engine I have, said that the 1.6CR engine is now the highest usage engine across the VAG range of engines.
2001Jetta TDI (auto) Apr 7, 2021. #3. The 1.9 tdi is also a interference engine, you should be fine with the timing belt as long as you maintain it. there are multiple tdi engines that have surpassed 1 million km, these are very reliable if you take good care of it.
Peoplelove the 1.9 TDI. It's a great engine so long as the owner doesn't forget to change the timing belt. It's a very desirable engine though, so be prepared to spend about $4,000 for a complete engine. I had a 2000 Golf with 1.9 TDI engine. I sold it when it hit 400 000 km. (abour 250 000 miles).
